Wales' highest rated country house hotel is a distinguished 17th century hall, set in 200 acres of parkland, with spectacular views of Snowdonia and Conwy Castle.

Bodysgallen Hall and Spa has been restored and refurbished by Historic House Hotels Ltd in a traditional, elegant country house style with antique furniture, fine artworks and precious collectables, the hotel has the atmosphere of a private home. Buildings such as the farm, cottages, stables and coach house have been sympathetically modified to accommodate the spa, meeting rooms, guest accommodation and the recently opened restaurant, 1620.

Believed to have 13th century origins as a watch tower to Conwy Castle, Bodysgallen Hall boasts beautiful private gardens and parkland for you to explore during your stay. They include a rare 17th century parterre of box hedges filled with sweet-scented herbs, a rockery with water cascade, a walled rose garden and several follies.

The hotel is now part of the National Trust and all profits are donated to the charity.

Bodysgallen Hall is situated about 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Llandudno and the North Wales coastline. Within an hour's drive are a wealth of treasures: National Trust castles; Plas Newydd stately home; Bodnant Gardens; and the mountains of Snowdonia National Park. North Wales' rocky coastline and sandy beaches are also within easy reach and you can admire marine life by boat or at the sea zoo. There are also plenty of links and parkland golf courses in the surrounding area. Llandudno’s Venue Cymru is a modern theatre, staging a wide variety of plays, musicals, opera and the performing arts. This large arts venue attracts plenty of big names from the music industry.

The spa is housed in a former farmhouse and has a large swimming pool, sauna, steam room, spa bath, relaxation room and club room. There are also 5 beauty and holistic therapy salons staffed by qualified therapists providing treatments using Anne Semonin, ESPA, CACI, Jessica, and St. Tropez products (additional cost). The spa is open to resident guests and club members and beauty treatments are available for non-residents

Children between the ages of 8 and 16 years may use the spa from 09:00 – 10:00 and from 16:00 – 17:00 when accompanied with an adult (Monday to Saturday). On Sunday, children aged 8-16 years may use the spa from 09:00 – 12:00 when accompanied by an adult.

As well as the oak panelled Main Hall and Drawing Room, the hotel provides the Wynn meeting rooms which are housed in the former coach house and stables.

The guestrooms have an individuality that is both charming and luxurious. There are 4 principal suites and 11 bedrooms in the main hall, all having glorious views over the gardens and parkland, and some with far reaching views to Conwy Castle and Snowdonia mountains. Nestling in the grounds are 16 private cottages offering accommodation for 1-4 people. Some have their own private gardens and some are in close proximity to the spa.
