There are 2 delightful pubs within walking distance of Thurnham Hall, one of which is next to the canal. There are lots of delightful walks, particularly along the paths along the Lune Estuary. Lancaster is the medieval capital of Lancashire and has impressive castles and an ancient priory. Lancaster is just 3-4 miles away.

Lancashire and the surrounding counties are blessed with some of England's most dramatic scenery: the Yorkshire Dales, the Lune Valley and the Lake District. There is great fun to be had at the nearby Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

Every Wednesday there is a bus service into Lancaster, and on Thursdays there is a bus service into Garstang market.

The accommodation in the main house comprises studios, one-bed and 2-bed apartments which are located on the first and second floor of the property. In addition, guests staying at Thurnham Hall may be accommodated in any of the delightful cluster of apartments situated around the grounds.
