This 19th-century hotel between Matlock and Buxton is in the heart of the Peak District. It has its own restaurant, free Wi-Fi, and is home to over 50 antique clocks.

The Rutland Arms is well-located in historic Bakewell town, on the edge of the Chatsworth Estate. It has free parking and is about 1.8 miles from Haddon Hall country house. Chatsworth House is about 5.5 miles away.

The restaurant offers exciting menus, and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The first ever Bakewell Pudding was made at The Rutland Arms Hotel.

Jane Austen is believed to have stayed at the hotel whilst writing Pride and Prejudice.
