This is a family-run boutique hotel in the centre of Begur. The boutqiue hotel and romantic restaurant are housed in a Colonial Palace dating from the 19th century.

Each individually decorated room is charming and bedrooms and bathrooms all enjoy an exterior position. Walk through the Aiguaclara's interiors and discover curious features which date back to its glorious past. The staircase has lovely, wrought-iron railings and floors are beautifully tiled. Original features contrast against contemporary furniture and modern design details.

The hotel is next to the best beaches and golf courses along the Costa Brava. Make the most of the sunshine this region enjoys much of the year. After seeing the sights, return for a delicious meal in the hotel's characterful restaurant.

Begur is a small fishing town, surrounded by Medieval towns and Roman ruins. It lies 45 minutes from Girona and 90 from Barcelona, close to the best beaches and golf courses of Costa Brava.

This colonial mansion was built by Buenaventura Caner Bataller in 1866 on his return from Cuba, where he emigrated to in search of fortune. The house has been restored keeping the original layout and features.

The rooms have been decorated with antiques and furniture has been restored by the owners themselves.


The rooms and en suite bathrooms are all exterior-facing and have original flooring and doors dating back to 1866. Each room has been simply yet stylishly decorated, with either locally bought antique furniture or furniture restored by the hotel.
