Next to The Beauty Room in Tetbury centre, The Priory is set in a beautiful historical building with stone walls and exposed beams. Surrounded by Gloucestershire countryside, the inn is a 30-minute drive from Gloucester and 20 minutes from Stroud.

The Priory Inn is located in the heart of the delightful market town of Tetbury in Gloucestershire: a stone’s throw from the many renowned antique shops and a short drive from Prince Charles’ private country residence - Highgrove.

Tetbury, standing on the river Avon, has been described as an ‘architectural gem’. The central part of the town is largely unchanged since the 16th and 17th centuries, and many parts are clearly linked to medieval times. It is home to the beautiful St. Mary's church, one of England’s finest examples of the Gothic revival style of architecture.

Some of the area’s highlights are: Westonbirt Arboretum; exclusive and action-packed sporting events such as polo and 3-day eventing; Cirencester, the "Capital of The Cotswolds"; Kemble Airfield; fabulous walking country with many national trails such as The Cotswolds Way, Monarch’s Way and The source of the Thames Path; and, many popular family days out.

Whether you are in the area to enjoy the countryside, browse for antiques, on business or just to escape for a while, our aim is to provide you with the most friendly, stylish and comfortable environment for the perfect break. At the award-winning Priory Inn, our emphasis is on quality, simplicity, service and good value.

We aim to achieve the highest standards, but we don't think they need to be complicated. We want to give you the best meal, the best place to unwind and the best service we can. We hope you will find The Priory Inn a little home from home, but with an added touch of luxury. So eat, drink, sleep and let the Priory Inn take care of the rest.

To this end, all our 14 en suite rooms have been refurbished and designed to ensure that you sleep well and wake fully refreshed.

We hope that you find your bedroom a calming and comfortable space. The design emphasis is on clean lines and a neutral palette of coffee and cream textiles, contrasting with dark American walnut furniture; simple but very stylish. The beds are carefully chosen to give both maximum comfort and proper support.

Locally hand-made toiletries, white-tiled bathrooms and fluffy towels add the little touch of Priory luxury.

Every room features a unique and beautiful canvas, each art piece with a different colour emphasis, commissioned to enhance the tranquil atmosphere.

If you bring the children, we can comfortably accommodate the whole family within our four interconnecting rooms or our family suite. We have cots available and most baby monitors work in the gastro-pub. Just ask at reception for a range of children’s books and puzzles, or help with warming that bedtime milk.
