  Chagford (at 4.4km) - Surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Dartmoor National Park, the Globe Inn is rich in original character and traditional charm, with open fires, home-cooked food, good wines and real ales.
  
  In the heart of the West Country, just a short walk from the very centre of Chagford, the Globe Inn offers a real traditional country atmosphere.   Castle Drogo, a National Trust property is 10 minutes’ drive from the inn and can been seen from some of the rooms. Close to the Castle is Fingle Bridge, a magnificent gorge with the clear-running Teign River and well-signposted walks. The woods are covered in Bluebells in April/May.
