The world's first iron bridge gives its name to the town of Iron Bridge in the south of Telford, and is the town's most famous feature. It was built across the River Severn in 1779 by local ironmaster, Abraham Darby III.

Shropshire has a lot to offer. There are over 32 castles, and 10 hands-on museums explain how Ironbridge is considered to be the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

The main building is of Georgian origin and the interior has old quarry tiled floors, exposed brickwork, beamed ceilings and oak panelling.

Herb posies, pot pourri and lavender all help to perfume the atmosphere in the Hundred House.

Each and every bedroom is unique in design and features half tester or four-poster beds as well as period furniture, while most also have a velvet covered swing! All rooms are en suite and have all modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Superior rooms are larger and are more sumptuously furnished with period pieces, including some with half tester beds and some with the hotel’s famous swings.
