  • The Master Builder's

    Beaulieu - With beautiful views over the Beaulieu River and set at the end of the grassy street that is Buckler’s Hard village, this charming hotel offers luxurious, individually decorated rooms and great food.

    The Master Builder’s has a beautiful, peaceful setting, on England’s South Coast, in the New Forest National Park. Lord Montagu’s Beaulieu Estate and the National Motor Museum are just a few minutes’ drive away.

    With beautiful original features, the hotel is rich in historic character and traditional charm. Now fully refurbished, it offers spacious and luxurious boutique-style accommodation in quirky, individually decorated rooms.   • The Montagu Arms

    Brockenhurst - This outstanding country house in the New Forest is home to Terrace Restaurant, with its Michelin Star award. The Montagu Arms is an AA Inspectors’ Choice hotel, with 4 Stars.

    The Montague Arms dates back to 1742. It has a cosy, homely character and picturesque gardens. Staff offer excellent customer care and personal service.

    Access to Sen Spa Health Club’s facilities at the sister hotel, Careys Manor, is included in the rate. It is 6 miles (9.7 km) from the hotel. The Montagu Arms is located close to the M27, Southampton and Bournemouth Airports.

    Terrace Restaurant overlooks the gardens and serves fine local ingredients that are free-range and organic when possible. Monty’s has more informal, home-cooked classic dishes and award-winning Ringwood Real Ales.

    Visitors can discover Dorchester and Thomas Hardy country to the west, head north to ancient Stonehenge and the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester or travel east to Portsmouth's Royal Naval Dockyard.

    Closer to home are the glorious Exbury Gardens and Lymington's steep cobbled streets, Saturday market and ferries to the Isle of Wight. The National Motor Museum at the Montagu family estate is right on the doorstep.


    Facilities at the Sen Spa include a swimming pool, poolside sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and a state-of-the-art gym. Residents must be older than 16 years to use the health club facilities at Careys Manor.

  • Cottage Lodge

    Brockenhurst (at 9.9km) - In the Victorian village of Brockenhurst, nestled in the heart of the New Forest National Park, this charming 17th century residence now offers 5-star guest accommodation.

    Cottage Lodge is a friendly, family-run property offering 12 clean, comfortable hotel-style bedrooms. All of the rooms have en suite facilities with a bath or a shower. The standard rooms are the equivalent of a 2-star hotel room and the superior rooms are the equivalent of 3-star hotel accommodation. All rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, TVs and hairdryers.     Parts of the building date back to 1650 and still feature beautiful period features, such as original wooden beams. The lodge’s rich history mean it has a wealth of character and original charm. Taller guests will have to duck in places! Every room is individual and unique. Some are modern, while others have a traditional feel.

    The Snug Bar and the breakfast room still boasts original timbers.

    A delicious full English breakfast is available from 08:15 to 10:00 and features locally sourced produce.

    The village of Brockenhurst has 3 pubs, 7 restaurants, a train station, a petrol station and various shops. The lodge is just 4 minutes’ walk from open forest, but if you prefer to explore on horseback or by bike, horse riding and bicycle hire are available in the village.

    Cottage Lodge is a quirky, family run guest house that was awarded Most Sustainable Tourism Business in England 2008 and was a finalist in the Best Bed and Breakfast in South East awards.
