Als bezitter van een vakantiewoning in Vierhouten, moeten
wij na ettelijke malen, wanneer wij na ons diner besluiten
nog een heerlijk kopje koffie of digestive te gaan drinken
op het terras van het 4 sterren restaurant De Malle Jan
konstateren,dat de bediening te lang op zich laat
wachten. Het is niet incenditeel maar een veel voorkomend
verschijnsel, zelfs zo erg, dat toen wij aan onze gasten
voorstelden om onze koffie daar te gaan drinken, zij dit
pertinent weigerde, om de eenvoudige reden dat zij ook
meerdere malen, meer als 10 minuten moesten wachten voordat
er bediening kwam opnemen. Wij zelf hebben zeker al 5 maal
meer dan 5 minuten moeten wachten. Een goed hotel moet
weten dat verschillende gasten, met het idee eens daar te
gaan logeren, eerst een kopje koffie gaan drinken op het
terras en daarna even naar het toillet gaan, om het hotel te
beoordelen op zijn service en schoonheid.Wanneer het terras
niet florerend is, dan gewoon geen terras stoelen en tafels
vooraan uitnodigend zetten, of een bordje
"selfservice" of "gesloten" duidelijk op
het terras zetten, maar niet de klanten "weg
serveren" door eenvoudig ze te negeren om niet te
vragen wat zij willen drinken, dan ze voor Jan met dat
kleine achternaampje te laten zitten wachten en misschien
voelen zij zichzelf tevens mal daarbij.
