La Oveja Verde
Pitres - Set in the heart of the beautiful Alpujarras mountain range, this rural hotel and restaurant provides the ideal setting for those looking to explore the magnificent Sierra Nevada National Park.
The traditional-style La Oveja Verde is set on a hillside at 1,245 metres above sea level. It is located between Capileira and Trevélez, allowing you to climb the peaks of Veleta and Mulhacén – the highest points on the Iberian Peninsula. From here you can also enjoy a cultural day in the historic city of Granada, 70 km away, or on the beaches of the Costa Tropical, 40 km from the hotel.
Experienced hotel staff can help plan your excursions, providing maps and information necessary for trekking, horseback riding and other outdoor activities.
The peaceful property is built in a typical Andalusian style, with whitewashed walls, terracotta flooring and dark wood furnishings. Its terraces offer spectacular views over the rugged, surrounding mountains.
La Oveja Verde is located just 100 metres from the main square of Pitres. Here you will find a range of services and facilities for your stay, including supermarkets and bars. Pitres, along with several other surrounding towns, has remained traditional and unspoilt – ensuring a peaceful and authentic stay. Its original, traditional architecture and century-old trees has led it to be protected by the Spanish government.
La Oveja Verde is set in 2 recently constructed buildings surrounded by 2,000 m² of tranquil gardens.
The apartments are well-equipped with a lounge complete with American-style kitchen and a fireplace, a bathroom, double-glazed windows and excellent wall and floor insulation. You will also find many basic ingredients in the kitchen for use during your stay, such as oil, salt, sugar and coffee.
Latex mattresses and Nordic duvets are provided. Bed linen and towels are included in the reservation price.
