Château de Gilly, Vougeot

The Château de Gilly, former residence of the Cistercian Monks, is located between Dijon and Beaune, 2-minutes from the village of Vougeot, the finest wine producing area in Burgundy.

It has preserved its authentic 14th and 16th-century character, reflected in its moats, French-style gardens and a dining room with a magnificent vaulted ceiling.

All of the guestrooms in the Chateau de Gilly are elegantly decorated, stylishly furnished and equipped with modern en suite facilities. They offer pleasant views over the gardens, the village or the Vouge River.

The restaurant, Le Clos Prieur, offers an exceptional setting to enjoy traditional and regional gourmet cuisine. It is set in a former 14th-century wine cellar of extraordinary architectural design.

Every guest is invited to visit and participate in wine tasting events in a Cellar next to the hotel.

Located in the heart of the vineyards of the Côte de Nuits to Gilly Les Citeaux, the Château de Gilly is surrounded by villages including Gevrey Chambertin, Vosne Romanée, Chambolle Musigny and Vougeot. It is also at the main intersection in the heart of the Côte d'Or.

The hotel invites you to its lovely location within a 3-hectare park full of beautiful French-style gardens. Running through the park is the Vouge River that creates a clam, peaceful and romantic atmosphere.
