The Aigle Noir Hotel hosts an exceptional setting in the heart of the imperial city, in front of the Palais de Fountainebleau, the one-time residence of the kings of France.

All of the guestrooms are individually decorated in a predominantly Empire style – the result is lavish décor combined with luxurious comfort. Rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi internet access, flat-screen TV, DVD player and bathrooms with bath or shower.

The entire hotel is air-conditioned and non-smoking for complete comfort. There is one lounge reserved for smokers and room service is available Sunday through Thursday evening inclusive.

Spacious function rooms equipped with modern equipment are also available and can accommodate up to 150 people.

Since the eighteenth century (1764 approximately) this old royal abode began to be transformed gradually into a hotel and welcomed guests passing through Fontainebleau for short stays.

The hotel has been subjected to regular transformations and embellishments which have improved its service and its comfort even further while preserving the charm of this exceptional place.

Aigle Noir Hôtel has welcomed many personalities over the last fifty years, heads of state, members of royal families, artists or business men. All of them have come in search of calm or inspiration.
